Former vice governor of south China's Hainan Province Ji Wenlin is under investigation for allegedly taking bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said in a statement Friday.The SPP has taken coercive measures against him, according to the statement.The news came after the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) announced on July 2 that Ji was stripped of Party membership for serious discipline and law violation ."Investigations show that Ji took advantage of his posts to seek benefits for others, demanded and received a huge amount of bribes, and committed adultery," said the CCDI.The State Council, or China's cabinet, approved a decision to dismiss Ji from public office, it added.
