Tourist buses operating in Southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region will not be allowed to carry more than 18 passengers and a police officer is required for each bus, the local tourism authority said."Larger tourist groups will have to be split up to meet the new rules," an employee with the Tibet Tourism Bureau told the Global Times Friday. The new rule is aimed at enhancing traffic safety, said the employee. The region was hit by two tour bus accidents in August, killing over 40 people.
