China's 2014 army recruitment will last from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30, focusing on recruiting youngsters with higher educational and physical credentials.The Ministry of National Defense has told recruitment authorities to take in more college students and relax age restrictions for "high-quality" applicants, following a meeting held on Thursday.For people with bachelor degrees or higher, the age limit has been lifted from 23 to 24.The army will only recruit female soldiers with high school or higher education backgrounds this year. In municipalities and provincial capitals, applicants without high school diplomas will not be accepted.The physical test has been made more exacting in terms of eyesight and height for girls.Applicants can also enroll online through www.gfbzb.gov.cn.
