Ford business brings Spain's Antolin to Kansas City |
Related to this storyTopicsAutomotive, Injection Molding Spanish auto supplier Grupo Antolin SA will invest $15.7 million in Kansas City, Mo., to build interior overhead systems for Ford Motor Co. The site will employ 118 people and make headliners for Ford's Transit van, produced at its Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo, Mo. The assembly plant is currently undergoing a $1.1 billion expansion to upgrade production, the Kansas City Area Development Council said in a Nov. 21 news release. The site will also give Grupo Antolin access to future potential business, the company said. The 148,000-square-foot Grupo Antolin plant will be the third production facility and 10th overall site in the United States for the company based in Burgos, Spain. It also has a technical center in Auburn Hills, Mich., and logistics operations throughout the country as well as plants in Mexico and Canada. It has 100 manufacturing sites globally. Tags:
