Anti-Racism Campaign

Can?t believe it?s been 6 years already since ford started the anti-racism campaign ?kick it out?, I remember taking my son to Ford Dagenham to be part of it. I only heard about it after I visited my local dealers to find out about Ford Motability in Essex.

I was very surprised to find out the 100 young student from schools around East London were will be joined by sports stars and celebrities at the centre for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellent at Ford Dagenham.

Lucky for my son he attends a school in East London and he was also chosen two years in row to be one of the 100 students taking part in the campaign. This year he will get to meet many great stars, including Graham Gooch, coach of Essex and England cricket, Graham Napier from Essex County Cricket Club, film producer Winston Ellis (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Oscar-winning writer and producer Mark Straker.

It?s just a shame that I won?t be able to be there to meet all the stars but the campaign is a great way to remind everyone that racism is not accepted in any way.

Mitra Janes, diversity and inclusion manager, Ford of Britain, said: "We are delighted to continue our support for Kick It Out. Football is diverse and inclusive and is a great platform for our involvement. Kick It Out's 'One Game, One Community' week of action uses football as a way of promoting social inclusion and encouraging young people to value diversity. Ford's relationship with Kick It Out is going from strength to strength, providing good support to neighbouring schools during Kick It Out's week of action."
