When I was younger Skoda was not a desirable car. Indeed I think it was in a similar league to Lada and that was not good. Lada was a very cheap car manufactured in Russia. It had a low price but that reflected the poor quality and fuel economy. The perception of Skoda was similar but with the introduction of foreign company, Volkswagen, all that was set to change. These days Skoda is as successful as many other car brands and the stigma associated with it seems to have been long gone. As such I decided to visit my local Skoda dealer to see just exactly what they had an offer for a single 30 year old woman. Here is what I discovered. I was assisted by a very helpful and knowledgeable sales associate. I told him that I was looking for something fun, cute, mainly for city driving and indeed economic. Skoda had the perfect car. He introduced me to the Skoda Fabia. On first glance it was reminiscent of the Suzuki Swift with a hint of the Mini here and there. I liked it and wanted to know more. Although the car is perfect for a single woman driver, there is also plenty of space for four passengers and ample room for luggage.
