The Fleet World Honours get presented annually usually within the first quarter of the year. In the Fleet World Honours the judges recognise and reward motor manufacturers, service companies and individuals who have achieved the highest possible level of excellence in their sector.

Peugeot has only recently launched the 508 and has now been named the Best New Car of 2011 by the judging panel of Fleet World Honours. The fleet director at Peugeot was in very confident mood when presented with the award and said, "The 508 is an incredible car and what better way to open up our awards account than winning Fleet World?s 'Best New Car of 2011'. We're confident this will be the first of many."

The editor of Fleet World, Steve Moody said, "The 508 changes the game for Peugeot. A massive leap forward from the 407, it offers a premium brand level quality cabin, a range of frugal, refined and powerful engines all wrapped in a stylish body shell, taking the firm right back into the upper echelons of this vital fleet sector."

Ross Durkin who is the Managing Director at Fleet World spoke about how the fleet industry is now back on its feet after a tough few years. He said, "Manufacturers are investing in new technologies, especially in the area of alternative fuels, and this continues to be a strong and vibrant industry. Fleet service providers also continue to demonstrate how innovation and initiative keep pace of product development incredibly high. This must be great news for fleet customers."

The Peugeot 508 has been on sale at Peugeot dealers in Kent since March and it is attracting both private and business users.
