The Toyota Avensis is a large family car built in Derbyshire, United Kingdom by Japanese carmaker Toyota since 1997. It was introduced to create a more modern name when compared with the reliable, but dull Toyota Carina E/Toyota Corona.
Since its launch, the Toyota Avensis proved a sales success for Toyota Europe and was reliable like its predecessor. Currently in its third generation, the Toyota Avensis has advanced in size, technology, power, and economy over the years to challenge its worldwide-known rivals, such as the Mazda6, Ford Mondeo, Volkswagen Passat, Vauxhall Insignia, Citro?n C5 and Peugeot 508.
The used Toyota in London had a makeover four years after its launch to freshen its appeal; it underwent many changes to upgrade the car to compete against some very strong rival models from its rival manufacturers.
The Toyota Avensis has again been given an exterior makeover for 2012; changes include a new grille, bumper assembly and lights. The interior got a few new changes to compliment the new exterior.
The Japanese manufacturer, Toyota has been enjoying the reputation for quality and reliability for a long time now, this is traditionally regarded as a benchmark in this respect and it also has been consistently topping customer satisfaction charts by J.D Power reliability survey.
Toyota is hoping that the improvements made on the Toyota Avensis 2012 will bring in buyers away from choosing a Mondeo, Insignia or Passat instead. Toyota is also offering a longer warranty, five years or 100,000 miles on many new Toyota cars.
