I am so excited about going to the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, as I love the thought of seeing all the future cars due to be produced. I?m really looking forward to seeing all the BWM cars that will be at the show. BMW will be presenting the BMW i3 and i8 Concept at the Show.
The BMW i3 is the first purely electrically powered production car within the BMW Group while the BMW i8 Concept is one of the latest generation sports cars. It features a unique plug-in hybrid design, combining an internal combustion engine and an electric drive to deliver powerful driving experience with low fuel consumption and emissions.
Also making its world premiere at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, will be the new BMW M5, which features a few high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology, producing a peak output of 412kW/560hp with maximum torque of 680Nm, and the BMW 520d EfficientDynamics Edition, which delivers 148hp and CO2 emissions of 119g/km.
The second generation BMW 1 Series will be on show, which is one of my favourite cars at the moment, as I drive a used BMW 1 series in Surrey. The new model features rear wheel drive, unique to this compact segment, as well as four cylinder engines with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology.
I will also get to see the new BMW 6 Series Coupe, which offers three engine options with Xdrive four wheel drive available as an option and joining the BMW 6 Series Coupe will be the new 6 Series Convertible. There are so many great new cars to see and I can?t wait to go to the show.
