The Revised Peugeot 107

French car manufacturer Peugeot has been producing the 107 since 2005; the 107 and the Citroen C1 are both PSA Peugeot Citroen products of a partnership with Toyota. The Toyota equivalent is the Aygo. All three cars look very similar but have distinctive rear ends. The Peugeot 107 is an important model for Peugeot; it was introduced to replace the very popular 106 which was in production for 12 years.

7 years on and the 107 has done well, in 2009 it received a facelift to bring it in line with the current Peugeot design philosophy. The most noticeable changes have been applied to the front of the car where it now has Peugeot's "large mouth" look. Changes to interior colour and material options were also made.

At the moment the new Peugeot 107 is only available with a 68 bhp 1.0 litre petrol unit, on paper this may appear to be under powered but the car is so light that 68 bhp is enough to make it nippy around town. In its targeted home of the town and city driving the 107 excels; it is smooth, easy to drive and fun to zip around in.

For 2012 Peugeot has announced a revised 107, the new car undercuts the important 100g/km CO2 emissions marker for the first time, while fuel economy is also improved. Like the 2009 update this update has resulting in a heavily redesigned front; the new model has a redesigned bumper, which is deeper and lower and includes housings for fog lights. LED daytime running lights are available as an option.
