A mini LED lightbar can be very useful equipment for emergency vehicles especially when the budget is too tight to procure an expensive full length light bar. Mini light bars are designed to provide as many functions and as much lighting as possible from a smaller frame. They are light weight and portable. In fact, mini bars weighing less than 15-lbs can be temporarily mounted on vehicle roofs using a 4 magnet combination that has a pull of about 65 lbs. Mini bars also come with permanent bolt mounting options with the kit comprising of a 6-inch pigtail. Apart from magnetic and bolt mounting options, mini bars can also be mounted with suction cups. Non marring rubber that has suction control is coated over the mounting options.
Mini LED lightbar units feature excellent warning lights including remote strobe heads that can flash in a variety of sequences and patterns. ? inch sized diamond mirrors are used to enhance the visibility further. Some mini bars come with a double ball bearing assembly which is not only quiet but also extremely reliable. Mini bars make up for their smaller size in more than one way. While the lenses and LEDs are powerful enough to create a strong warning light, there are wide angle reflectors too, which can be used to enhance the beam coverage further. Clear outer domes are used for encapsulation while in some cases coloured Fresnel inner domes are installed too, providing plenty of options when it comes to the lighting.
Mini LED lightbar units make use of innovative optics such as full size diamond mirrors which are precision engineered for maximum efficiency. Multi-coloured configurations are used in some mini bars for greater flashing effect especially when individual segments with a different colour of LEDs can be controlled efficiently. The number of flashes per minute can be greatly increased through the use of innovative optics. High intensity LEDs are used by mini bars to make sure that the warning light has penetration and is not dispersed or scattered while passing through smoky or hazy conditions. Rotators are also used in some light bars for all round visibility. Strobe flash tubes are provided in mini bars to add to the strength of the warning signal.
Good manufacturers provide a rugged construction to the mini LED lightbar so that it can resist heavy duty handling and tough usage. 2 or 3 year warranty offers an additional assurance. There are mini bars that can provide up to 50,000 candlepower, operating at 12 V DC with currents below 5 Amperes. The mini bars are well secured against voltage spikes and short circuiting. A colour filter kit is also provided with some units and so are in-line switches. Mini bars come with inbuilt flash pattern mechanisms which can allow you to choose the most effective of the available options during tough conditions. A normal mini bar may include couple of rotators, half a dozen LED modules and diamond sized mirrors and reflectors for additional efficiency.
